Some of our toys are intended for children with special needs. They were
either intentionally designed for special needs or are naturally suited to help
children with special needs.
- Jacob's Ball
-
Jacob's Ball is a slightly different version of the Rib It Ball. It
has different colors to help children with visual impairment and different
cloth to enhance its feel and sound for the blind. The original Rib It Ball
design was inspired by a boy, blind from birth, named Jacob.

designed it.

- Zorp Rocket
-
Blow into launcher to send a lightweight Zorp Rocket at high speed.
The Zorp Rocket can be used by children with respiratory problems to
help them develop breath control. It is a lot of fun to make it fly. A quick
breath is needed to pop it out of the launch tube. You have to keep blowing
to keep it inflated while aiming. Blow too hard at launch and it folds up in
flight. Blow too soft and it goes slow. Then you run to where it landed to
try it again.

- See It and Sign It
- Endorsed by ASL instructor Jennifer Goins and speech therapist and
special education instructor Marian Gericke. This is a fun way for hearing
impaired kids to begin learning ASL.
-
- Buddy
- Buddy’s high contrasting colors are extra appealing to children with low
vision. Buddy’s stimulating textures encourage tactile exploration - the
cool cotton, soft velour, rubbery raised dots, fluffy tuft, and even the
secret patch of rough fabric on Buddy’s back, will especially appeal to
children with special needs.
